Again my typical leaving after an extended stay in Bulgaria. I have stayed (5-6?) before. It is my go-to residence for middle to late Summer trip. The hotel has a huge swimming pool which I am still able to swim the length underwater on one breath. Room 505 was a perfect two twin size bedroom with perfect bathroom and excellent view of Gorubiansko and Vitosha. Elevators were fast and fully operating. The key-less entry far superior to other places in BG I stayed at with difficult to open old style key locks. They even prepared my included breakfast in a pick up bag at the desk since I had to jet out early. Tip to the future, I left the hotel at 4:00am for a 5:40 Austrian Air flight to Vienna. The problem at Terminal 2, Sofia Letishte is that all Star Alliance early flights queue in one huge winding People-Snake through the terminal waiting area and that includes passengers to Vienna, as well as later flights on Lufthansa to Frankfort and Munich. I don't know who to fault, but it was hard first to know if we were in the right queue or the other for Ryanair. Then the six (6) dedicated check in desks were undifferentiated with respect to destination, only by Economy versus HON, First and Business. I suspect it's the Fault of Lufthansa that too many first Early Flights are being held up with mixed queues. I had to hustle after check in and then security and then passport control and finally to the gate in B section of Terminal 2. I would suggest early flight people for that 5:40am flight to Vienna get to the airport by 4:00am to save themselves stress and confusion. Also avoid trying to get through Newark on less than two (2) hour connection time.

hello) the building , where the Hotel Montecito is located, seems like old, post Soviet Union, but this is not the negative side, because of old, 80-90th , building rules, it has thick walls, so i did not hear anyone from the hole or other rooms, no noise at all! So, don't ,be biased towards the appearance of the building, inside it is nice and clean. The only minus, for those who prefer 'luxury' hotels, it seems like 'old fashioned' The room was big enough, clean, two beds, comfortable, but the hood in the bathroom was broken. Breakfast - simple, every day the same food, so if you are coming for one week or more, you will be bored with it, but for few days it is fine. From the pluses - the restaurant where we had breakfast, we could order the lunch/dinner for extra payment of course, so 90% of time we had our dinner there)) The hotel has really big pool)

Kateryna

Plentiful FOC car parking, roughly-hourly direct bus to and from the airport (T2), decent public-transport links to other places (can get to right outside Arena Sofia and within walking distance of PFC Levski Sofia, PFC CSKA Sofia and the national football stadium), Jumbo right behind the hotel (in case you've forgotten your sunglasses, phone charger, etc!), LIDL within five minutes' walk of the hotel (cutting through the Jumbo car park is quickest!), breakfast has more than enough options to set you right up for the day, big outdoor swimming pool with diving platform and plenty of sun loungers, good air conditioning in the bedrooms.

Stuff and rooms are pretty good. However, we were placed in the room that we did not like. The very first time we visited this hotel, the room we were placed was much better than that of the one we experienced thos time. I have aksed the stuff to change our room and they reponded they did not have other rooms available. This we felt that wasn’t true and conplained, but they did not change the room. So, very first time we had a very good room and experience, however second time room was not as good. As for the restaurant, it was not so good as well. They should cook better and include more things in menue.
